this film is an absolute must see!
it will make u laugh & cry it will make you want to run to your best friend & give her a hug & tell her how much u love her
i have watched this film about a hundred times but i don't get sick of it it's just amazing not to mention the main song is my favourate of alll time (maybe because of this film??) Wind Beneth my winds needs no introduction everybody knows it & if you listen to the lyrics it basicallly tells you the story of beaches
it's about two girls who meet when they are just 11 years old & just instantly become the best of friends even though they are complete opposites CC is brassy & bubbly & Hilary is quiet & shy, i think this is what makes it more interesting & the ending always gets me
Verdict : absolute MUST SEE! buy this for your dvd collection & you won't be dissapointed

love this & the "so-callled" film critics said that this film is too sappy,weak,yada yak yak.
I am the most cynical ever when it comes to films but this is definitely one of the best ever film & for me, it belong in its own place as the film reallly has this flashbacks....ahhh,who cares? Those who haven't watch
this yet...get this fast!!! I am a boy when I saw this & now I'm a man but I still love this film. *sigh* Don't you wish you had a friendship as
close & as powerful as this?

Probably the best chick flick of alll time, OK, a bit dated now, but still great. Why don't they make films like this anymore?! No special effects, just brilliant script, brilliant direction & brilliant acting!
Fantastic girly film! - By: S. Dodd, 25 Apr 2007 Boys don't get this film, it's definitely a chick flick! Most girls can relate to this best friend relationship portrayed in the film, that's why it is so watchable.
This is a great film to watch with a bunch of your friends ... however be prepared to cry, I've watched this film a million times & still get weepy at the end.
A definite must have for your DVD collection!
Grab your tissues - By: film buff Dave, 26 Apr 2006 I have watched this film since the age of 20 & still it makes me cry 16 years later!! The clothes are very 80s, the hair is huge & the Divine Miss M's voice is never better. Its a great story about friendship through the years but I must warn you before you watch this film there are essentials to go with it - chocolate, wine & definately tissues - oh yeah & a good comedy DVD right after always helps - enjoy.
