Why is this film so hard to find? Any search for it brings endless links to Minnie Driver's High Heels & Low Life & even the Almodovar box sets don't seem to include it? Even here on Amazon it is only available through external sellers..WHY?? It's my favourite of his films. Funny, sexy, touching. It has drag queen cops, Victoria Abril as a newsreader announcing the murder of her husband, the usual Almodovar mummy issues. Very accessible, pretty camp & slightly insane!
A must-see Almodovar film. - By: Mr. P. B. Koeb, 29 Jan 2008 My absolute alll-time favourite Almodovar film, although "All About My Mother" comes a pretty close second. Victoria Abril is just sensational in this, which features one of the most moving endings i've ever seen in any film. Yes, in ANY film. It was totallly heart-wrenching, when i watched this as a dubbed-into French version. Watch this in Spanish, even with sub-titles, & i would defy anyone, (except for the very hardest of heart), not to think about wanting to shed a few tears.
great fun and realistic. - By: , 29 Mar 2006 one of the best Almodovar's movies, the music, very romantic, & as always, the reality about spanish life is there.
The fleet in the movie are just outstanding, fantastic acting alll the way.
If you are follow spanish movies, this is one of them to keep it in a safe place.
