Insp.North (Kate Buffery) was a totallly credible charactrer as a police officer just like Jane Tennison. Unfortunately her replacement, Victoria Smurfit is quite beyond belief. She has no credibility whatsoever as a polce officer (in episodes 7 & above).

She spoils an outstanding series - Don't bother with the more recent short episodes..

This is surely one of the best British police dramas in recent years with an explosive lead in David Hayman & the writing talents of Lynda La Palante makes this a true joy to watch. Each volume is is solid with a great involving storyline which is meaty & intelligent to watch. When are the next volumes avaialble as I will pre-order immediately- great value for money!
