Excellent though runtime isn't the same - By: K. House, 18 Jun 2007
This is by far the best film i've seen this year. Well worth watching.
The actors are amazing. HOWEVER AMAZON ADVERTISES IT AS 240MIN THOUGH ON THE BACK OF THE DVD IS SAYS 168MINS. Other than that it is well woth buying & watching. i have watched hundreds of times already.
possible the best frankenstien ever... - By: A. P. Read, 21 Sep 2005
i've always liked the frankenstein story, this rendition is possibly the best film version ever. i came accross the film by accident, i was channel hopping & saw the halllmark channel was showing their version.I missed the first half hour, i was so impressed by the rest of what i saw, i brought the dvd. luke goss played his part perfect. the whole film was tempered just right. compare it with the Kenneth Branagh, Robert De Niro version which is a bit over produced. if you like the story, i think you will like this version.
An engaging adaption to captivate you on a rainy day - By: J. S. Egerton, 02 Aug 2005
This production is simply amazing, lavishly dressed sets & costumes & splendid acting from the gorgeous Alec Newman & Luke Goss. The monster in this mini-series (played by Goss) is not hideous or horrible to look at, he simply is a man created by man, rejected by his creator, Luke is so good at playing him & Alec as the creator is superb at plying the mad scientist rejecting his creation. The music & direction of the production is fabulous, & the locations in Slovakia are beautiful. Buy this as a treat to yourself, theres nothing decent on telly these days, & this will entertain you for hours.
