Never a dull moment. - By: Irikefe Okonedo, 08 Jun 2008
Action thriller about a young man (played by Chris Evans) who answers a calll on his mobile phone from a woman (played by Kim Basinger) who claims to have been kidnapped & needs his help & the lengths he goes to help her & stop the people who have kidnapped her & her family. A good action film featuring one of my favourite young actors Chris Evans in the lead as well as Brit-flick favourite Jason Statham as a menacing lead villain. A good way to spend 90 minutes or so with never a dull moment. Oh & one more thing: mobile phones feature heavily in this film (as you may have guessed from the film's title).
Candyfloss for your brain! - By: Ms. C. A. Lever, 11 Jan 2007
I liked this film. If you feel like chilling out & watching some dude do lots of running & driving around in 'against the clock' type stylie then this is great. I liked it alot more than Phonebooth which is kind of similar in the 'ordinary guy unexpectedly chucked into an extraordinary situation' way (as well as the phone drama thing), mainly because Colin Farrell annoyed me but also because Statham is a fantastic bad guy.

This film is fine & entertaining as long as you don't take it too seriously. People either say it's a guys film, or that it's just ridiculous & brainless, (funny how people always seem to put those too things together) but I'm a girl with a degree & I reallly enjoyed it!
Nice bit of tosh! - By: Ross Tyrie, 04 Nov 2006
O.K. Lets get one thing straight! This is a ludicrous, unbelievable bit of complete tosh, from start to finish.Got it?And yet,it's been a long time since I saw a film so unashamedly entertaining.Sometimes a good piece of nonsense goes a long way when alll you want to do is put your feet up & leave the world behind for 90 minutes.
Highly reccomended for those nights when theres nothing on T.V. & you've got nothing better to do,give this one a spin.Good fun.
Predictable but... - By: Dodster, 25 Sep 2006
Still worth a watch. The whole premise of the movie, that Kim Basinger, as a kidnapped mom, manages to put together a broken phone & contact someone who is willing to risk alll to help her is unbelievable. Yes. But so are so many 'Thrillers' of this genre. It's one of those 'only in America' movies.
The movie starts slowly, but hang in there, it gets better. By the end it I felt I had got my moneys worth. It is exciting, suspensful with the usual shoot outs, car chases & an unlikely hero who comes good.
I thought the best performance was put in by William Macey as the only straight cop on the force.
Worth Watching - By: Give Me A Good Film To Watch, 21 Sep 2006
After reading some of the Reviews I was expecting to see a middle of the road film, so I was reallly surprised to have a film that gripped you within 2 minutes of starting & had a good mixture of action & humour.

If you don't want the film to be spoilt by too much information on the Reviews I would avoid the long ones.
