Priceless! - By: suilven, 02 Nov 2007
I was delighted to find this old favourite on DVD. It's sci-fi but it's charming & funny. It may even appeal to women ;-)

The time-travel plot will not seem so novel to viewers who have seen 4 generations of Star Trek, but this one is the best of its kind. Worth it for the visual gags alone, especiallly the one with the pub musician...

You too can go back in time! - By: A reader, 07 Aug 2007
Well you can't reallly of course, but on rediscovering a wonder from when I was 18 I felt I had done just that. Transported back to a time when special effects meant less that the storyline & viewers still needed to imagine (who am I kidding - to think), I loved both "flips" alll over again. Now I can't speak for every age here, but I do think that if you're my age & enjoyed it way back then, then you'll probably enjoy it again now...
ingenious but also amusing and affectionate - By: J. Flintoff, 18 Jan 2006
what happens when a man from the future comes back to the present, or at least the early 1980s, to look for his ancestors? the idea is brilliantly conceived & the execution reallly doesn't seem dated. i first saw it at school, aroudn the time it was made, & remember loving it. watching it again was not a disappointment - & i would even recommend the sequel, included on the DVD, though it's not quite as satisfying as the first part.

i hadnt seen this for 20 odd years, i was pleasently suprised,it reallly hasnt aged, the story lines in both episodes are top class they reallly deserve to be shown again or even remade.its almost like the recent dr who series funny in places but with a serious edge to them..please watch them with an open mind
Great Play - By: R A Downham, 20 Oct 2005
I remember seeing this when I was 18 years old, & enjoyed it so much back then. I had always being hoping that it would be shown again on T.V. or released & now finallly it has! It still lived up to my expectations & does not look that too out dated. My son also watched it with me & he reallly enjoyed the story line & mild comedy. If you have not seen this before, & enjoy a little science fiction, then this is a thourougly enjoyable piece of work. Their is also one extra "did you see", which reviews the piece. The sequel another flip is not as good as the first, but still very watchable.
