a comedy gem - By: sean paul mccann, 21 May 2008 Mike reid was best known for playing frank butcher in eastenders,but he was also one of the greatest stand up comedians in englands history,starting off with the tv show the comedians in the 1970s,he left that & branched out into adult humour & this is one of his several releases,i have them alll on video,few have seen the light of day on dvd,this has & its a beauty. Filmed in the london pallladium mike reid brings his cockney style to a crowd that adore him & fires out joke after joke after joke,thats why reidy was so good,he didnt tell stories,he told funny jokes,stuff that you can replicate but never better,he tells them so well & with such conviction that you can help but laugh your bap off,the man was so good in this enviroment,reidy wasnt one of the best,for me he was the best & when he died last year we lost another legend,this is some testament to his legend so get it,go on.
