tough workout - By: Game Girl, 19 Aug 2008
This is a reallly tough workout especiallly for the bum & legs! I love the fact that it broken down into sections so you can pick & choose the area on your body you want to work out. It's definately the toughest of alll davina's workouts.
This sucks! - By: S. Leeves, 06 Jul 2008
I found this dvd to be very boring... so much so that i gave up trying to keep fit for a year!! If you reallly want to work out with a bit of fun try the ministry of sounds pump it up dvds.. Great fun!!
Dare I offend the Nation? - By: V. Lydon, 27 May 2008
I know people have given this dvd rave reviews but with risk of being hunted down & shot, I'm daring to be different.

I'm unfit, unhealthy & a couple of stone overweight. If anyone needs a workout dvd, then it's me. So, as Davina seems to be a national institution these days I thought I'd try this one.

I don't regret it, truly I don't, but I don't enjoy it either. It works, don't get me wrong, I did it 3 days ago & I'm still in agony every time I hobble to my feet, but the problem is, it's just no fun.

It's intense, it's hard work & it's tough going but it's not engaging. Ok, so I know you'll alll argue that it's supposed to be tough but surely it can be tough & fun at the same time?

Truth is, I've found other celebrity endorsed dvd's that are fun AND get you breaking a sweat. Admitendly, they're not as intense as Davina, & for that reason I will spare her the shame of being sold on or appearing in a bargain bucket anytime soon, but she may well gather dust!

It's an intense workout that i'll force myself to do at weekends but during the week when I hobble home from work it'll be one of the others (can I name names??? Charlie Brooks *ahem*) that I look forward to sticking on & panting away too.

I just think, quite simply, with such a comedic personality fronting the dvd, it could have been more fun. Is that reallly too much to ask?
Surprisingly good workout - By: Kate, 14 Jan 2008
I was pleasantly surprised by this DVD: if you do the whole hour you will get a good workout for your whole body. (Still feeling it in my thighs/bum 2 days later, & I'm reasonably fit!) I bought the box set with "3 30 Minute Workouts" (see separate review) but found this DVD better.
I usuallly find a little goes a long way where Davina's concerned, but she is actuallly ok in this, just gets on with the exercises without too much of her usual posing & shouting. There are no surprises here - the exercises are mainly the tried-and-tested moves you would do in any body sculpt-type class. But the workout is nicely broken up so you don't get bored, & the instructors are clear & offer plenty of encouragement & different options. I like the idea of the interval training to keep your body warm & heart rate up (something I often find lacking in DVDs) - although living in a flat I did have to make up some lower-impact, less floor-shaking moves.
The music isn't bad either - it may not have everyone's favourite tunes but at least it uses recognizable dance/pop tracks instead of the tinny muzak on alll my other workout DVDs.
Very surprised !! - By: Daisymoo, 11 Jan 2008
I bought this having never done aerobics or similar before. Believe me when I say I am the most lazy individual with no willpower whatsoever - but I decided to buck my ideas up for 2008 & get in some sort of shape. I have no classes near me & no one to go with anyway. I was reluctant to get anything containing Davina in it because I find her telly work irritating to say the least, I only got this on reviews found on this page, & I am very pleasantly surprised. Ms McCalll is very pleasant, totallly none-annoying & very supportive & NORMAL ! The work outs are well structured & the music is fine but you don't notice it reallly. Sure it's hard work, but exercise isn't meant to be breathless or it won't work. I reallly enjoy it & plan to continue to use regularly - & that is reallly saying something coming from me. Well pleased, honestly.
