I was disappointed by the DVDs for some of the series projects, as they seemed to focus so much on the participants' gripes & quarrels that there was disappointingly little about the nuts & bolts of everyday living in the "past". The Regency House project covered quite a range of topics - the velocipede & the "science week" were among the most interesting.

One gripe: couldn't the DVDs include some of the extra filmed material which was excluded from the original TV programs?
