Gracie Thompson is an amazing young individual in this film. How did she cope? Keeping alll her siblings from going into care.
This film will touch your hearts, most definitely. She challlenges her mother on caring for her three brothers & sister. She fights alll the way never giving up.
A great, great story you can keep re-watching.

This story was heart-warming & even terk-jerking! Kristen Bell did an amazing job at playing Gracie & this film shows that anyone can do anything as long as they set there minds to it!! I recommend this film *****
What a story... - By: , 06 Mar 2005 This is an amazing film, I am so suprised that it didn't make the box office, because it sure deserved an Oscar or two. Wow. The story started off with a young girl, Gracie, haveing to care for her dysfunctional younger siblings, whilst her mother was doing drugs. When her mother leaves, Gracie (a young girl of only 17), becomes head of the house-hold. It truely is a breath-takingly classic story. The courage of this young girl had me in tears at the end, a must see for alll.
