Yoga almost made easy! - By: Molly Miaow, 29 May 2008
I have found this particular Barbara Currie dvd a real gem, I have also used 'Total Body Plan' & the 'Seven Secrets of Yoga' but prefer the sequences in this dvd. They are neatly compacted into 20ish minute slots & are linked by what they do for your body & well being. I have to confess I am a fan of Barbara! I have been practising yoga with her dvds for four years now & it has undoubtedly benefitted my life, making me feel calmer & more at ease. I have never strained or pulled a muscle & have instead made slow & steady progress & I would definitely recommend it!
Not as good as her others - By: M. Wright, 06 May 2008
I bought this as I had done 2 of her other DVD's & I fancied a change. I have Seven Secrets Of Yoga & Total Body Plan & alternated between them everyday a couple of years ago when I was losing weight & found them fantastic.
This however was nowhere nearly as good as the other 2. I missed the emphasis on specific body areas that the other 2 DVD's have. It was just a bit too general for me.
Fantastic - By: Ebineezer Le Page, 12 Mar 2008
This is brilliant. I've been doing the exercise sequences on this DVD for 8 weeks now & I can reallly see the difference. My arms are more defined, stomach is toned & legs are so much stronger. Aside from that Yoga reallly does de-stress & make you feel good. The exercises are progressive so you don't get bored but at the same time you can start as a beginner, as I did, & work your way up. I reckon that you need to use it 3 times a week to see the results. I even bought my mum a copy for mother's day & she rates it too!
Currie makes yoga enjoyable yet challanging - By: A Swede, 09 Jun 2007
I have tried yoga now & again, but could never reallly get rid of the feeling that it was boring. Since I liked the idea of combining strength & flexibility, & even meditation, I kept coming back to it though. I'm glad I did. I have been following Power Packed Yoga a couple of times per week for a little more than a month now, & this is actuallly a dvd that I long for (I also follow some other workout dvd:s). Currie usuallly repeats a position two times, so while she doesn't let you off the hook - you have to work it - it never becomes boring. She is also not afraid to introduce challlanging poses, but always offer an option for beginners. While I follow the dvd I have - fun. And afterwards I just feel great; relaxed & at peace. And yes, I feel it in the legs the day after.
The dvd countains four programs, one morning engergizer, one with focus on balancing postures, one with focus on stretching, & a relaxing & calming sequence. It totals about 1½ hours.
more aerobics than yoga. - By: S. Sykes, 19 Dec 2006
Not a yoga practice. Currie's voice is strident & her manner irritataing. Her postures are difficut to follow & not clearly explained. Im not sure what she is trying to achieve.
