Liverpool oratorio- By: Peter Lohde Svarre, 22 Sep 2006 Hi! This work is truly a masterpiece. I heard this piece of work i 1991 when it was published, & until now I have not owned it myself. I decided to buy the DVD & it is absolutely wonderful. The bonus DVD contains a very warm & informative documentary of how the work was composed. The sound is also brilliant & well dimesioned. The only drawback I can think of is the lack of subtitles on the work. The documentaries is subtitled, but however, I managed to write the lyrics down, & now I have them on a piece of paper. :-) Keep on the good work. This is a DVD you must own. GreetingsPaul Mccartneys Liverpool Oratorio- By: Sue Scott-Horne, 08 Nov 2004 I first saw this oratorio on TV a few years ago when Paul produced it, it was his first major work in classical music & after being a fan & following his work for forty years had never been touched by anything so soul sensitive as this piece of work since 'YESTERDAY'. It is a truly wonderful story of his life & rise to fame incorporating some of the world's greatest singers, it is extremely creative & inspirational & touched Linda's heart & mine with a tear as mother's together. Do not miss it, it is delightful & now available as it should be on DVD.
