Absolutely amazing! - By: Mrs. Joan Abernethy, 18 Jul 2007
I first heard Josh Groban a while ago singing "You Raise me Up" & i didn't reallly notice him until i saw him on "Any Dream will do." I just think he has the most beautiful baratone voice! i could listen to it alll day & when i bought this DVD i found that he's a great stage performer! i thought his performance of "Oceano" was better than the recorded version personallly & the DVD extras are great because i found, personality wise, he is the male version of myself (weird, random & comes out every now & agaian with random accents!) & this made me love him even more! BUT THIS DVD! i love him!
Live at the Greek - By: M. E. Wilson, 21 Oct 2006
I bought this DVD as a result of seeing Josh perform on Sky Classic FM singing 'You Raise Me Up'. I loved it the first time I played it. And the second & the twentieth & I still think that it is one of the best performances I have seen. Brilliant.
A concert of deliverance - By: Mr. Neal Cook, 14 Feb 2006
I almost didn't buy this DVD because of some of the reviews. I didn't want to be disappointed about the quality of the singing & performance. I expected to be almost disappointed. I am glad I didn't listen to the negativity as isn't an accurate reflection of the concert.
I have countless cds & music dvds, & am an avid music player & listener. And I cannot fault this. It is a superb performance for a range of challlenging vocal arrangements. It is pure bliss to listen to from beginning to end. Josh Groban is vocallly superb, & you cannot expect cd quality from a concert - not that you tell any difference in my personal experience of this dvd.
The power & emotion in Josh's voice is matched only with the sincerity of his performance. He would put other singers to shame with the complexities of songs such as "Caruso" & "remember when it rained".
So in summary, this is brilliant, there is no disappointment to be found from the objective listener. If you want digitallly reproduced & artifical sounding concerts, then this isnt for you. But if you want excellent vocals, emotion & performance, this is it, 100%
Loved It! - By: , 02 Mar 2005
I had never seen any of josh groban's concerts or dvds, & so decided i would get this one as it had many of the songs that i loved on it. Including, Oceano, To Where You Are, Remember When It Rained & You Raised Me Up.
Admittedly his voice is not AS good as his cds, but you have to know that this was filmed at the end of a tour which is stressful enough & maybe he wasn't feeling the best, it happens. But the power & emotion was still there & i felt as though he done a fantastic job.
He is an awesome singer & i cant stop listening to him, & now watching him. This guy is reallly going places, & his performance on the oscars goes to show this!! Look forward to the next installlment & hopefully i'll be able to get to see him live!!
Josh Groban's Greek, It's Not a Fairy Tale - By: Cassandra Givens, 26 Feb 2005
I wish I could write a glowing report on how impressed I was by Josh Groban's Live at the Greek concert. I wish I could saw how much I truly loved it & it was a glorious second concert by Josh. I wish I could say that it was worth every bit of the price I paid because Josh's voice was so beautiful & every moment of the concert was lovely. I WISHED, but in this case the fairy godmother did not grant my wishes. Instead of the usual princely performance, I got the frog. The frog did not change into a prince, he just stood on stage trying to croak out songs. He also looked frog-worthy. No Fairy Tale. Just a very disappointing night in Los Angeles. The clock didn't have to strike midnight. The frog was on stage throughout.
