All right, so the film is dated, & Cliff is pretty wet, but he keeps his end up. On the other hand, Laurence Harvey as the dodgy Soho bottom-feeder is a joy from start to finish, as is Sylvia Syms as his long-suffering stripper girlfriend. The script is sharp & funny. What's not to enjoy?
