My favourite Christmas film. Will is excellent in this "laugh out loud" festive comedy. Watched it in the cinema when it came out & bought the DVD. Basic storyline is baby lived in orphanage - got caught in santa's sack when he delivered presents. Got taken back my mistake to Santa's homeland. Grew up with the elves & eventuallly realised he was "different". Set sail to New York to find his Dad. Finds life in NYC both fun & hard to deal with. Eventuallly finds his dad who is on Santa's naughty list!! Bonds with his new found family - but upsets an important client of his new found dad & is thrown out. Eventuallly finds love & restore NYC's christmas cheer.....A feel good, christmasy, fun filled film.

Coolican, 13 Nov 2008 Not just the finest xmas film of recent times, also it answers the 64,000 dollar question of each & alll films ever made..is it near endlessly rewatchable, will it get me in the mood each time (for xmas that is), can it tick those two wondrous boxes, & viewers, it can.
YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED - By: Fallon, 28 Sep 2008 This movie is brilliant. Watched it many times, it get better every time. Put me in Christmas mood even its 3 months away! I highly recommended this movie as if you want a Christmas mood, this is the one. Very funny, very well made & a very happy ending. Worth watching for & again, I highly recommended it.
One of the best. - By: Blue hunter, 05 Jan 2008 I have to say that this is one of my favourite films ever.Will Ferrell is outstanding in the role of the elf & the charactor is so funny.
This has to be a future classic for the christmas holidays & i would urge you to see it at any time of the year.I can not recommend this highly enough.

This is a good Christmas film & is worth watching for a few good laughs. Will Ferrell is his usual funny self & comes out with some great lines that will crack you up at his delivery. This is exactly what it sets out to be, a light hearted Christmas movie & it more than delivers in that respect. It is a little cheesy in places, but there are worse Christmas movies out there for that & overalll this will provide a couple hours of light, fun afternoon viewing. What more can you ask for? Not excellent (hence the 4 stars), but good fun never-the-less.
