exploitative, cheap and nasty - By: pete, 17 Feb 2008
Everything about this film is unpleasant. The acting, the characters, the cheap ,shoddy production values. Its not funny & not worth watching even out of curiosity.
Very Funny and Not At All Offensive - By: Movie Moose, 13 Jul 2007
As a Gay man I though I was going to be offended by & was preparing myself for a 'rough ride' of homophobia.

How wrong can one person be?

It was a very funny romp through the under world of gay life & it had me in stitches in parts, it's well acted & good direction. Many of my friends have watched it, both gay & straight & not one of them found it in the least bit offensive. I think the title tends to put most people off - but don't let it, it reallly is something to be seen & enjoyed.
one of the madest funniest films ever - By: Crisdean, 13 Apr 2007
I first saw this film on sale in a big high street record shop when out buying DVDs in the sales. This one wasn't on sale - but when I saw it first I was about to go up to the manager & complain about them selling such, what I thought at time, homophobic DVDs. I read the back & it intrigued me. I did not buy it then but went home & it was on my mind so I went back & bought it. It is one of the madest & funniest films I have ever seen. As a gay man I did not find it offensive at alll -there is a lot of in gay humour in it. I have lent it to many gay friends here to watch -and they come from the whole spectrum of gay life - & they alll enjoyed it & not one of them found it offensive at alll - in fact many of them have gone & bought a copy for themselves!

To get a lot of the humour I suppose you'd have to have a good knowledge of the "gay world" -but even if not gay do not be offended by proxy for us - jut watch it & enjoy it.

How they came up with such a mad story line I just do not know. It is totallly unique & should be counted amongst the gay underground classics!!
Offensive and unwatchable. - By: M. Scott, 18 Jan 2006
This is one of the very worst films I have ever (ever!) seen.

It starts off promisingly - a couple of rather cute young Irish guys, short of money, resort to providing sexual favours to the older men at the local gay pub to supplement their giros. But it very quickly loses alll direction & descends into limp farce that tries too hard to be hip & politicallly incorrect. Tedious dialogue, offensive & unfunny stereotypes , & a plot that is simultaneously flimsy & incomprehensible... I was actuallly embarrassed by this film, & the end could not come soon enough. The only remotely good thing about it is Michael Praed, who gives a pretty decent performance as a flamboyant queen - everyone else involved should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

Don't even think about purchasing or renting this film.

9 Dead Gay Guys - one by one! - By: R. Flynn, 05 Dec 2004
This, it turns out, was written by an Irish Chinese man (as well as that, he directed it) - & the oddballl but cleverly put-together black comedy that results is just what you might expect. It involves 2 Irish guys, out-of-work & in London, who turn out to 'service' gay men to supplement their Giros... not that they're gay, of course - it's just a paying job, you know...

But from the revelation that "the Queen is dead" (no, of course not what you think!), the body count just goes on piling up, in some very funny situations that play around with stereotyping, political correctness, & a lot of generallly entertaining film-style comedy.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, it was a lot better than I'd expected from the reviews I'd seen.
