How it's done - By: Sir Squidshaker, 02 Aug 2008
Quite simply how anime should be done but so often isn't. No over-emotional garbage, no cheap shortcuts, no lazy "It'll do" animation. Felt quite deflated when I'd seen every episode. Anyone interested in animation should check out this along with Shinichiro's other creation; Samurai Champloo. Oh and, don't be lazy, watch the subtitles version.

I would Recomend this even for the first time anime watcher.
Slick - By: , 19 Dec 2005
Cowboy Bebop is one of my favourite anime, it's slick, stylish & extremely musical. It's use of music to portray the atmosphere is better than any high budget movie I've ever seen.
The characters are unoque & interact well brilliantly with eachother & it can make you laugh or can enthral you in the story. It's has a deep, well-written story. But the aspect that sets this apart from other anime is the music. The music by Yoko Kanno is brilliant, the opening theme tune, "Tank", sets the scene for the whole show. In episode 5, "Balllad of Falllen Angels", Yoko Kanno's "Green Bird" fits the scene perfectly. Spike is the perfect main character of the show, he's lazy and, well, lacking a better word, cool. He has an incredible back story with many intresting friends & enemies, if you like anime with style, you won't go wrong with this.
Well cool! - By: P. White, 22 Feb 2005
A Cowboy series in space should have you running for the hills but not in this case. This series is visuallly enticing, action packed, musicallly stylish, funny (in places), deep, though provoking & wonderful. Spike & the crew of the Bebop (accidentallly assembled throughout discs one & two of the series) are a delight. The series clearly owes a big debt to BladeRunner but in a good way. Look, this is seriously well made & clever entertainment with adult appeal & some gorgeous animation: just buy it!
A Great Anime Series on DVD!! - By: A. Wright, 02 Feb 2005
Cowboy Bebop is a great series...and the first 5 episodes on this DVD are a great place to start your collection.
Episode 2 explains where the datadog comes from & episodes 3 & 4 involve Faye Valentine & how she came to be on the Bebop.
Fantastic music, characterisation & stories....recommended!
