The first & only Sonic series to have a boxset thus far. Sonic Underground may be the weakest of the DiC Sonic Cartoons, but still has some charm that attracts some viewers, repels others. The animation isnt quite as good as "Sonic the Hedgehog" but generallly stays more on model than "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog". The songs are not perticulary fantastic, but if you can stand some of the sugary sweet songs then you may enjoy this series.
Anchor Bay gave this boxset a nice presentation though, a lot of clip art is reused but the package overalll is colourful & nice. With each disc having a very colourful print on it. The box set is pretty hefty it has to be said though this set came out before Boxsets were anything but huge bricks of Discs.
This set is devoid of extras. on alll 5 discs are 4 episodes. The episodes are in proper order. It's a shame the series was never completed, or that the rest of the supposed 64 episodes of this series didnt end up on this set, for whatever reason that may be.

This is truely one of the best boxsets out there. It contains alll forty episodes in a very impressive ten dics boxset. I give this dvd 5 stars becuase I am a long time sonic fan & have every episode of the first two sonic shows on dvd (Aosth) ant satam & when I finaly found the underground boxset I knew I had to buy it now my collection is complete. I seriously recomend this for everyone who is a sonic fan pick up this boxset & I promise you wont be disapointed.
Sonic Rocks - By: , 27 Jan 2006 I've been playing & watching Sonic ever since I was three, & the kids at school tease me just because I like it. But so, even though I got this a while go, I've watching alll 40 episodes twice. It's a bit weird at the end of the last episode because Sonic simply says something & that's it finished. They wouldn't find their mother or anything.
My favourite episode is Dunes Day, when they have to go to Speedster Island.
Of course, if your a Sonic fan then buy it, but if you dont then dont.

This is a great series. My daughter watches it over & over & is crazy about alll things sonic.
The box set is very impressive comes in a very nice packaging & for the price it's amazing. I mean how often can you get 10 disc DVD sets for £26???
The reason it only gets 4 stars is there is no real ending to the series. I believe the show was cancelled after the 40th episode. This isn't mentioned anywhere on the reviews & I had to use Goggle to find this out. As you can imagine my 7 year old daughter was a little upset on the outcome. I guess to kids it's important that the Sonic, Manic & Sonia find there mother. You could always say Disc 10 doesn't work. :o)
Apart from this it's great fun & highly entertaining & will give you hours of freedom from the kids who will just watch it over & over again.
