Ed Bannon (Charlton Heston) is cavalry scout & does not trust apache. Toriano (Jack Palance) returns from East after education to join his tribe. Bannon thinks that Toriano has returned for a reason & tries to warn Brian Keith, the cavalry leader.
Then toriano starts his burning & killing. Bannon , having lived amongst apache, knows Toriano's ways & may save the cavalry. Will the apache follow Toriano? What will Bannon do?
Excellent action, story, direction & photography.
