Hi there! I'm so happy to have listened to the advice of others buying Hex 1 & 2, because they were absolutely amazing! Besides alll, I've also watched "Buffy the vampire slayer" in the prevoius years, but I don't agree with the general feeling of this has to be a masterpiece of television: first of alll, because it isn't scary at alll for me,the monsters are ridiculous, the story lacks in a lot of passages too & it isn't an original idea, plus where alll the suspance was gone?!..It even looked like a Scooby-Doo film in some points..
And ok, as good as could have been the main actress,or handsome the male actor of Angel,the spin off too, isn't at the top of my favourite list (for example, in the past, there was "American Gothic" that in my opinion was better, at least more scary)...However this english show instead is "da bomb"! And it is even better for the fairy & scary environment, for the thrilling original plot, for the hot never gross sex (thre's even a nice subplot about homosexual love: that is a good way to spread tolerance too, I think),but far away different from the usual american style we are alll used to; & last but not least, for the good looking & perfect cast (wow that gorgeous blue-eyes falllen angel...I'm still dreaming of him! ;-P)
So, don't think twice, it isn't even true that it lacks in pace,you will be totallly instant "HEXed",in this modern horror fairy tale...so just go for it & enjoy yourself!;-P) Bye bye xoxo
At last a very good goth series - By: Antiplod, 27 Jun 2008 After having to endure buffy et al. for so long, its so refreshing to see something that's this well done. More for adults I suspect, as some subject matter broached in latter episodes is quite dark. Sexy, edgy, addictive, good acting, great locations, great choons, & some excellent humour to boot. What are you waiting for?

After the reviews of this series that i read on Amazon i was very excited about watching it. I was keen to find a replacement for Charmed as i thoroughly enjoyed every series of that. Hex i found had a profoundly more dark feel to the whole series. You were left to feel that evil would inevitably win out & that Cassie, even though she is a goody two shoes character, would not even attempt to fight this situation. I do not intend to watch the second series. I enjoy supernatural shows but at least the sisters in Charmed used the powers they were given to fight evil, even thought they didnt always win. This series didnt have any exciting special effects either.
the only problem is... - By: N. Harley, 09 Jan 2008 the first season of hex is an absloute must-see for fans of good english tv with a supernatural theme. the characters are easily-relatable & realistic, despite their supernatural characteristics (we're talking ghosts, falllen angels, telekinetic powers etc here). the only problem with the season is that it is just too short! you won't want it to end for the simple reason that nothing you watch afterwards will be able to top this amazing programme. with just 6 episodes, you havent got much viewing time but the series is very watchable even the second & third times over. the only advantage to its short length is that you can easily watch it alll at once! the making of any great programme is its actors, & on this note, the makers havent put a single foot wrong. every actor suits their character perfectly & as such can play them to the highest possible standards. there reallly arent any faults with this!
HEX season 1 - By: Jason Armstrong, 03 Jan 2008 After watching 2 episodes i found this very good well thought out story i would not say it is much like much like buffy,more like a sugars rush & harry potter meets the devil. Its very rare you get an english made series of this quality.Christina Cole & Jemima Rooper are excellent as best friends/lesbian lovers,I like the way she turns from a girl next door butter wouldn't melt in her mouth type into a a revish sex maniac. so i think it will be interesting to both female & male viewers.I just finished watching season 1 & now i can wait to see season 2 as it has a cliff hanger ending.Well worth the money & for the price of this now you wont find a better tv series for under a tenner
