confessions of a paralysed jellyfish - By: Mrs. K. Thomson, 24 Jun 2008
Well, due to christmas & a excess of easter, I finallly decided to get fit for the summer. However, due to my complete lack of rhythm, coordination & style, I reallly didn't want to inflict myself on a class at my local gym. So, after trawling amazon, I found this dvd. In this, Rosemary does her thing without being annoying & "whoopy" (you know what i mean, when the skinny instructor goes "Wooo!" unexpectedly, while you are trying so hard not to falll over, step on your colleagues, or walk out to get a doughnut.). Easy to follow, once you get the rhythm, & not too sore after. Once you get the first section, which is a great warm up if you fancy a bit of a loosen-up after work, you move onto the second. The progression is good, without making you feel like you've missed something & stand watching dumbly while you try to comprehend what's happening. I haven't moved on to the third yet, but I have watched the first few minutes to see what its like, & again, it looks like a natural progression from the second.
My only fault is that you need some room, & i don't. However, I've worked out ways to solve that (doing certain things on the spot, etc). Also, I'm finding I'm doing side salsas whilst cooking & chachachas down my halllway. So a good investment, without the embarrassment or annoyance of a class.
Just right! - By: Lady J. Buckley, 06 May 2008
Encouraged by other reviews I now own this very well-structured, enjoyable DVD. I have never liked exercise much (I hated games at school) but Rosemary Conley strikes the right note! She is positive but doesn't gush, cleverly providing variety by changing the routine. After one week doing Level 1, I am now on Level 2 (17 minutes) daily & am concentrating on learning the steps before trying to add arm movements. Then I will aspire to Level 3.
I recommend this delightful DVD to anyone of any age (no,I'm not telling!)who needs more exercise but finds too many excuses not to spare the time.

This is the exercise dvd that I can always force myself to do even if I'm not reallly in the mood.
Great music & good fun.
Also you can do either 18 mins, 30 mins or combine to make 48 mins which I have to say that sometimes I persuade myself to do 18 mins when I'm not reallly in the mood...then when it gets to the end I'm in the mood to stay on for the next 30 mins...especiallly as it starts with La Bamba...so I just let it run & end up doing more than I expected.
It is low impact & cardio only (no floor work). I would recommend you watch it through once before trying it (especiallly if you are new to exercise dvds) to get the hang of the moves & the terms she uses to cue the moves.
This is low impact so good for new exercisers, people who want/need low impact or for those hardcore exercisers who want to do a little something on their "rest day". You can take it easy or up the movements a bit to give a better workout but might dissapoint anyone looking for a high intensity workout.
I prefer this one to the second one, although that is also good. The second one does include floor work if you want a more rounded workout rather than cardio only.

This was very enjoyable & the steps are relatively easy to learn, being well explained, & well filmed. Rosemary is very encouraging & I love the way she introduces & values her team. I have found it good for toning. You don't need a big area to work in
Slim 'N' Salsacise - By: Ms. L. A. Barnes, 30 May 2007
I reallly enjoyed this DvD. If your someone who has never reallly done an exercise dvd or can't reallly stand the standard erobic type dvd this is the one for you. Its easy to get to grips with & you don't feel like your out of your debth. Most important this is reallly fun to do so you feel reallly good at the end & looking forward to your next session.
This dvd is a good starting point if you are reallly serious about shaping up. Once your used to it you can move on to something abit more challlanging & if not it will keep you healthy. I would say alll in alll this dvd is fun & to be used by people of moderate fitness. If you are someone who is no stranger to the gym then don't get this dvd to keep fit however i'd still recommend it for the fun factor.
