Tim Vine Yards Ahead... - By: C. DON, 15 Nov 2008
" Tim will undoubtedly batter you into a submission of laughter... " There you go... a " one-liner " review.
A Man Walks Into A Bar.... OUCH! - By: DL Productions UK, 05 Sep 2008
Tim Vine may be very funny to people, & very fast at making one liners, but his comedy reallly doesn't translate to me on the stage of a comedy club. This is 1hr of quick-fire one-liners, with 3 songs thrown in & his make up lady walking on to take the sweat off his brow. His jokes are rather immature, & would be better off on a school playground, not reallly the sort of jokes you'd pay £30 in a theatre to see.

I wouldn't say I was being snobby about his jokes, but they're the sort of thing I told when I was a kid: quick jokes which mainly use word play, but basic word play at best.

If this comedy does amuse you, then great, but it's reallly not that good in my opinion. I much prefer jokes from Peter Kay, Tommy Cooper, Alexei Sayle & many more. If you do like Tim, then you might want to check out Dusty Young, he's a quick witted man who mainly does Patrick & Mick jokes - but at least his follow on, Tim's sadly don't.

I hate writing reviews like this, but I think it's only fair people know what his comedy is like, & having that Guinness World Of Records sticker might encourage you, but it doesn't reallly appeal to everyone.

This is good for younger people though, I mean this is quite suitable for a 12 year old, but the other question is, will they enjoy it?

Definitely rent this, don't buy it, even the extras don't resurrect what could have been so good. Pity as his quick jokes reallly hit a chord with me in The Sketch Show. There is commentary from Tim explaining his act, but I couldn't stomach it.
good clean fun - By: leonardo, 01 May 2008
i loved this. it's reallly good clean fun, witty & sharp & a refreshing change compared to a lot of stuff that passes for comedy. you have to watch it a lot to catch alll the jokes, that's because there are so many. I also liked the "Deep" dance video (an extra on the DVD) for some reason i can't quite fathom, as it's reallly catchy & looks like everyone concerned had a laugh making it.
I love this... - By: Diabolo, 22 Mar 2008
Calll me old fashioned but didn't we used to tell jokes like this? Comedy was a simple thing, no message, no context, no brain surgery. Ah, happy days... This is such a breath of fresh air. Nothing new, except an idea so old, it is practicallly new again. Tim Vine delivers a fun packed show on DVD, stacked to the rafters with puns, jokes, stupidity & a stage full of props. A real entertaining watch & a few groans along the way too.
