Cheesy, corny & totallly daft but reallly enjoyable alll the same! The first movie is the best of the two but both are easy to watch, fun & the music is pretty good too.

The is a great set of films Whoopi reallly make a Nuns life fun she breaks nearly every rule in the book & can't seem to to keep a low profile she bring new life to a failing convent & survives a murder attempt in the second she goes back under cover at a school staffed by sisters & fathers. Whoopi has the almost impossible job of saving the school from clousre & with the help of her misfit class suceeds this is a toetaping sequel with may laughs thrown in if you like Whoopi this is a real must & if you like comdey I feel there is a good amount here for you.

First one was better.... - By: CC, 31 May 2006
The fisrt sister act was far better than the sequel although i enjoyed both movies.
The first movie was uplifting, exciting & funny. Whoopi Goldberg put just enough attitude into the character of Delores Van Cartier/sister Mary Clarence to adhere the viewers to her.
The supporting cast was fantastic especiallly Kathy Najimy who was brilliant in both films.
The second film had too much attitude for my liking. The kids were fun but trying to portray an image that was better left in films like Dangerous minds where it was at least convincing.
The song at the end was good, the acting was sometimes too forced but overalll two entertaining films.

Awash with 80s charm, Sister Act 1 & 2 are simply wonderful. Sister Act 2 very well showcases cheesy 80s movie stereotypes, & I can't get enough of it. "You down with G-O-D?" is the best song lyric I believe I've ever heard.

These movies may be old now, but they still make me laugh out loud!
