Gonna keep this short & simple, if you like asian horror movies & havnt seen this then buy it now. This movie is without doubt one of the top asian horror movies out there & the second one is just as good in my opinion too, cant imagine any asian movie fans not liking this movie.
p.s. Dont watch the third one.. its a joke!
Please, please, please get it right?! - By: Zookin, 14 May 2008 Fantastic film. However, it would be nice if some people would get where a film is made & what language is spoken. I do find it very naive & slightly offended when people say a film is Japanese when it's not. The film is chinese & the language spoken is chinese not japanese. It's rather like callling a British film a German film just because it's european.

Smith, 01 Feb 2008 when i descovered east asian films, i knew i would always be a fan of them. i bought this film on impulse in an hmv shop, & it is my favourite film, it is simply great, i cannot find the words that would justly descride how good it is. the acting is reallly good, & it is seriously creepy, & sad at the same time, i cried alll the way through it.
at the end, there is a scene that is truly horrifying, & although desgustingly gruesome, it is also very sad & reallly gripping & you become reallly involved with the main character & can appreciate why she is so burdened by this 'gift'.
i seriously recommend it to anyone, but those who like asian films, would definately love it, no doubt, & if you don't, then asian films aren't for you.

I bought this largely on the reviews on this page. It was a good film, reasonable story, even though you could see it alll coming. However I waited alll through the film to be scared, spooked or even mildly tingled. I admit the scene in the lift was a bit 'tense', thats the strongest word I can use to describe it & I did watch it late at night with the lights off.
There have been a couple of recent Dr Who episodes which completely out spook this. Maybe Im too old & cynical to be scared by films anymore, Im 41. Having said alll that it was entertaining.
When i was a kid this was a fairy tale - By: A. macrae, 28 Jan 2008 This movie scares the bejezzus outta me - the moment when shes in the studio learning to write being one in particular - you'll know that moment when you see it! the burned corpses in the cars are wierdly beautiful & the ending romantic enough for me to be able to go to bed without nightmares.love this movie to bits.
