A Dark and Disturbing Serial Killer Thriller - By: , 23 Mar 2005
This is one of the best episodes without a doubt. There's a grisly serial killer on the loose in Midsomer. The victims seem to be chosen at random, ranging from the postman to a nice young woman & an antiques dealer. The killings are brutal and, not only does the killer play a creepy jazz tune while they kill their victims, they leave an item from the 1950's by the body.
The story is chilling & the ending disturbing. Any fan of wire in the blood or as a previous reviewer said, messiah, will not want to miss this. Flawless.

MURDER STRIKES AGAIN IN MIDSOMER! - By: , 11 Dec 2004
On his morning post delivery the postman & womanizer Dave Cutler is found dead, his throat slashed. There is a surfeit of suspicions: betrayed husbands & jilted lovers.
Worst of alll a young local woman, Debbie Shortlands, is killed like Dave.
Then other tow murders take place & Barnaby & Troy have to face a dangerous murderer.
I particularly enjoyed this episode because of the love between Troy & local constable Jay Nash & the splendid performance of Alan Howard, as Owen August,
