The other reviwers reallly have hit the nail on the head --- this is a masterpiece of a concert from the queen of country music!
Great songs, great performance & the great lady herself is on top form.
This is a real must have for alll Dolly fans.
Fantastic perfomance - By: FEBOI, 29 Oct 2007 I agree with the review by "A Customer". Dolly certainly gave a fantastic performance here. She gave her audience her sad songs & then liven up their spirits with jokes & catchy tunes. She did well here. It would be even better if she has time for some guests (such as Kenny Rogers or Neil Diamond or juglio Iglesias or James Ingram) here as well.
Fantastic! - By: , 15 May 2005 Dolly Parton seems to have been around forever & this classic one-off performance in the Celebrity Theatre at Dollywood proves that she's here to stay, & by the looks of things is going to be here for a while.
She covers alll the old favourites, telling stories & jokes along the way. It's like she's sat in her own front room chatting to her friends, but done in a very professional & glamourous was of course, after alll, it is still Dolly!
A must for any Dolly fans, Country fans, music fans or even for the acapella medley in the middle (she'll explain what it means on the DVD).
I would buy this again just so i could have it on in two rooms at once!
Absolutely brilliant! - By: , 18 Oct 2004 Im sorry but how do some of these young "pop stars" pass the grade & im telling you now, none of them compare to Dolly. I have been a fan ever since first watching 9 to 5, my favourite song being Coat of Many Colours. The woman is a star, she has achieved so much & this concert was one of her best, its alll orginal with a lot of crowd interaction. She owns the stage & everyone there is mesmorized by her. She is stunning with a matching personality & vocal talent that cant be beaten, & im only 19!
