Compared to Boulez' version of Bartok's Concerto made with NPO this with Berliners is more expressionist. Boulez seems to be more relaxed & rhythmicallly oriented. To BPO's refined & cultivated playing alll this means, of course, pure positive effect. So, I would not change this take for any other. The rest (Mozart & Ravel) of the Europakonzert is entertaining, wich is much to say after such a magnificent Bartok. Highly recommendable!
