It's definately not another Volumen - By: , 18 Dec 2005
since this dvd has only been released on Electra in America as aposed to little indian over here, it had to be shipped from Ameriaca. the DVD i got was in NTSC & not PAL so some videos (who is it & where is the line in particular) looked very... well American. maybe not an issue for everyone tho but it does seem to make the videos look a little weird.
This DVD contains an superb underwater jellyfishy video for Oceania with Bjork covered in scales, Who Is It filmed on the Icelandic desert with lots of bell sound goin on, a minimal beautiful animated video for Desired Constellation, & a very strange video for Where is the line. & the excellent Triumph Of A Heart Video. Having these videos alone would make this a worthy purchase for any Bjork fan but the addition of the Making Of Triumph Of A Heart video makes this a very good buy

Always treading that line between 'innovative' & 'bonkers' must take its toll on the knees. Bjork has gone AWOL from the mission, & left it alll behind. A surprising mix of usual & unusual separates this album from the back catalogue, but do we reallly like it? Buy it. Puzzle over it. Bjork never stops to surprise, which is becoming a little tiresome.
Works in USA!! - By: I. Reed, 29 Sep 2004
I just received this yesterday & was a bit nervous that it might not play in region 1 players, as it is coming from the UK & has not been released in the USA (I'm referring to the DVD-Audio version with documentary). I am pleased to report that the disc is in both PAL & NTSC & appears to be region-free! I have watched/listened to it & have had no problems at alll. I just thought I would mention this since I looked everywhere for this info & could not find it. Enjoy Bjork's amazing latest work!
Lovely album, serious bug with the DVD-A - By: , 09 Sep 2004
I just received my copy of "Medulla [Includes Documentary] [DVD AUDIO]" from amazon.co.uk. While enjoying the 6ch surround version on the DVD, I found out that uncompressed linear stereo version on the DVD has some annoying production bugs :P
Both "Where Is The Line" & "Vokuro" tracks have "Show Me Forgiveness" mixed in with them! So both tracks comes out like pure chaos. What drives me crazy is that high-res stereo version was as important for me as the 6ch surround, as I want to listen to Medulla with my headphones more that I do with my surround system.
To double check the problem I grabbed the stream on my computer & opened the file with Sound Forge. Yeah, it is still there, both tracks have Show Me Forgiveness mixed on top. OH! Those two were among my favorites in the album! :P
