A marvellous film & probably one of Britain's best movies to come out of the 1950s. A brilliant story with an unpredictable ending. Includes a galaxy of stars from both sides of the Atlantic, & whose names will be familiar to old & young alike! From Joan Collins & Margaret Leighton, to Laurence Harvey & Stanley Baker!

A gripping tale of hope coupled with desperation that ends in tragedy.
