This is a truly wonderful DVD by Gloria Estefan, the music is great, the songs are great, the whole concert is great, & Gloria herself is a very entertaining & quite comical individual - a must have for those Gloria fans out there

This is the best concert I've heard by Gloria Estefan & I think that this was because she grouped the songs together nicely & put more energy into singing than dancing around.The new songs from the Unwrapped album - one of her best albums - undoubtedly added to the quality of this concert.Gloria has in common with Shania Twain an ability to interact with her fans in a natural way that you don't see with many of the younger singers these days.The sound quality of this dvd is not so great (but I think we alll get used to the perfection of the studio recordings of songs on cds & would conclude the same for most concerts given by most people).The stage setup is fairly plain until the song Live For Loving You starts wherupon you get to see a wonderful & colourful display of a giant allligator that Gloria sings on as it moves around the stage & pink flamingos & fish flying above the audience (if you buy the dvd Everlasting Gloria you will see the video of Live For Loving You which is my favourite music video by anyone).The dancers aren't the most enthrallling you could see & are arguably the worst I have seen in one of Gloria's concerts.The concert ends with the song I Wish You & this is the best singing performance of them alll (and I think one of Gloria's best ever) & a song with great lyrics:
"Deceive me, hurt & mislead me
All that I wish you is love
Abuse me, damage & use me
All that I wish you is love
The bonus features are good & include a dramatic music video of Gloria singing the song Wrapped at the ruins of Macchu Picchu in Peru.There is also a documentary in spanish & a documentary in english of the making of the cd of Unwrapped.Overalll,this dvd is good value for money.But if you don't know Gloria's spanish songs already you will find it less enjoyable.

Carrick, 29 Feb 2004 Have been sitting here for some time, thinking of ways to explain this DVD, & the impact that Glorias music has on people, & it doesnt seem possible. The easy option would be for me to say to you to buy the DVD, & find out for yourself, but thats of no use to you is it?
I bought, listened too, & thorougly enjoyed the "Unwrapped" album - its fresh, new, intimate, moving & alllows Gloria to be open & honest through song. Its something new from Gloria, that portrays her style, her vibrancy, & her talent. And this DVD is no different - showcasing old & new, segued perfectly, & with witty quips from the main Gal herself (I never knew she was so quick witted & funny) (a comedy routine could be the way to go!)this is a bash that excites the ears & the eyes - it sounds fantastic, & looks good - I'm sure Gloria & the MSM invented PARTY - its a foot tappin, finger strumming, body moving, heart slamming, hair raising, spirit lifting experience. My only regret was that I didnt see it myself in Las Vegas - but maybe one day if she ever ends up back here again on tour I'll get to party with her, but until then, grab this experience, & have some fun!
