Predator was a great film back in 1987 & it still is now! Here we have Arnold Schwarzenegger heading the cast, who plays Dutch in charge of a squad of commandos sent on a mission to a Central American jungle to rescue airmen that have been captured by Guerillas. But there is something hidden in the jungle, which is invisible to the human eye & isn't from this earth, the creature is known as the Predator an alien which hunts rare species & human beings are the latest species that he's discovered. He has a cloaking device which enables him to blend in with the jungle & that makes it easy for him to pick off the commandos one by one till only Arnie & a female hostage are left fighting for survival.
Predator 2 is a worthy follow up to the first Predator movie, the first time the Predator struck terror in the jungle, this time he comes to L.A. & uses that as his hunting ground. Danny Glover heads the cast as Lieutenant Mike Harrigan of the LAPD who's fighting the war on drugs, but just recently the top drug lords have been murdered in a brutal & sadistic style. Harrigan's superiors warn him to stay off the case but he can sense that something's wrong. And his suspicions are confirmed when he finds that the person behind the killings is the Predator. Can Harrigan stop the Predator before it's too late?
These are some great films on these discs, I reccomend these to anyone who's seen the Predator films. Avoid the single disc edition of the first Predator film, because the content has been so heavily cut it feels fragmented!
action film here action film anyone anyone????????? - By: , 09 Jan 2006 hmm predator 1 & 2 thats an amazing films . so shalll i start from where its amazing to amazing , na ill save you the trouble . a must see film lots of gore & swearing . but still amazing films anyone who loves alien 1~4 or alien vs predator are sure to love this . spectacular effects ( for 1998 ) will make you jump . buy it!!
What a couple of Corkers!! - By: , 19 Jul 2005 If you like plenty of action, gore, violence & creatures then you just cannot fault these movies.
Predator alone is a great film blending espionage, action, gore, horror & suspense in a full on man vs alien encounter. Yeah, there isn't reallly a big story but would you reallly want one. You get alll the action you can handle & you reallly start to feel for Arnie when he just can't get rid of the thing.
Predator 2 was very under-rated & provides a great alternative in surroundings from the jungle to the big city. This is also full or gore, action & suspense & is also a worthy edition to any DVD stack in your front room.
Definately not for the squemish, to get these two films in a bundle pack is worth every penny & I demand that you invest in this DVD very quickly.
Those looking for drama, romance or a bit of a thriller, stay well away, you won't find that here.

I first saw predator only one year ago at the age of 13 & it had such an impact on how I viewed thriller/sci-fi movie genre. From then on I have seen alll the Alien movies, Predator 1 & 2 & Alien vs. Predator itself. I have enjoyed alll of these movies but in my opinion I have always found the Predator films much more enjoyable, I think this is because of how much more fast paced they are & the fact I saw Predator first.
Predator is a great film which, I think, is defiantly more a mans film than womens, & the action starts right from the beginning. It contains alot of gore & shooting action & the main character is one of my favourite stars.
Predator II has, I think, more comedy takes (one with a granny advancing on a room ,with the predator has broken into, only armed with a broom). This has just the right amount of action & comedy I could ever ask for & you dont have to watch the first to understand it. Amazing fun.
Couple of great movies. - By: , 07 Sep 2004 Predator is unsurpassable! An amazing film, building up tension & suspense, looking through the eyes of an unknown killer. Predator 2 does also have its benefits in as much that it includes more details of the species but I believe there is less focus on the predators themselves & more on the drug war. There are slight errors also contradictions of the predators abilities between 1 & 2 but overalll can't complain to much. Two great films!
