One for the kids and the adults who are still a child at heart - By: Dazman, 20 May 2008
I love this film, some may say it's stupid & childish, but if you don't take this too seriously & just sit back, relax & enjoy this wonderful film.
There's a fair amount of childish humour, kicking people in various parts of the anatomy, children running riot over 2/3 adult males who've lost their jobs or quit & dealing with the competition, plus the dreaded inspector.
There are some great performances from the kids (especiallly Max Burkholder) who plays Eddie Murphys son, as for Eddie Murphy he puts in a more serious comedic performance than we may be used to, (more like his performance in Life), plus good solid turns by Steve Zahn, Anjelica Huston & Jeff Garlin.
I think most people will take something from this film which does make some good points about the world we live in today too, it's just a delightful comic romp, enjoy!!
Some laughs, decent film - By: S. Dogliani, 29 Oct 2007
Daddy Day Care is entertaining & funny, more so than many other children's films. The cast is good - Eddie Murphy is his usual funny self, Jeff Garlin (who I am a fan of because of his part in Curb Your Enthusiasm) is funny with the kids & Steve Zahn & Anjelica Huston both act well in it. The kids are a funny bunch, for example Flash who is never seen without his outfit on. As an adult, it is probably not a film you would go out & see with no kids but young children & older children will enjoy it & you should find it funny enough to enjoy watching it with them.
Glad i bought this! - By: horror lover 148, 20 Mar 2007
There are some good laughs to be found in Daddy Day Care, especiallly if you're a pre-schooler with energy to burn. This romper-room comedy shamelessly exploits its high concept idea--dropping Eddie Murphy into a seething den of rugrats--but kids will have plenty of vicarious fun as Murphy & his fellow laid-off colleague (Jeff Garlin) battle unemployment by opening a day-care centre in Eddie's home. In partial Witches mode, Anjelica Huston hams it up as a day-care competitor bent on closing Eddie down, while doofus extraordinaire Steve Zahn is recruited as a third partner in "Daddy Day Care", trying his best to entertain a pack of hyperactive kids who've stopped taking their Ritalin. Zahn makes a funny Star Trek fan (even when the script contains bogus Trekkie trivia)
I bought this on dvd last week & I am glad i bought it!
Full of lots of great laughs & very strong characters!

A fun, family film - By: happyhel, 27 Jun 2006
I first watched this film with unsure expectations. Since purchasing it I have watched it several times & enjoy it very much each time. It is a fun, funny film that alll the family can enjoy. At the cheap price it is well worth buying to add to your collection.
