Not as good as the first and second films...obviously. - By: Gabbi, 05 Aug 2008
Of course this is very average compared to the first film & the sequel Stitch Has a Glitch. But it's not too bad! I mean, it's quite funny & entertaining throughout, & in my opinion is FAR better than the Hunchback of Notre Dame II.

The animation isn't that great, seeing as it is a pilot to the reallly cute tv series, but it's ok. And I liked Experiment 221, Sparky. He's so cute! <3 Shame we didn't get to see even more experiments though.
Prelude to the TV series - By: Mr. Jd Ware, 22 Nov 2005
Despite some shoddy animation, this film sequel/TV series prequel does contain the same warmth, humour & ohana as the original film.

The only thing that reallly lets it down is the animation. Boring backgrounds, with blocky main characters who sometimes have thick black lines around them, it is not as beautiful looking as it should have been.

But alll the original characters are present & correct in alll their good-natured humour. Stitch is his usual manic, bad self, who you just can't help but love. And the cross-dressing Pleakley seems quite out of place in a Disney film, but alll the better for it!!

The storyline is fairly dull. Stitch has to capture another experiment, but it sets up the TV series well. The ending is also quite action packed & exciting.

However, the morals that it tries & force down our throats are the same morals that were seen in the original film, & so seem a litte redundant here. Even so, the focus on family & friendship is always welcome, & only the cold hearted will not feel the tug on their heart strings.

It would have been nice to have a making of documentary to know a little more about the background of the film, but this disc's extras only include some games that will keep kids happy, & a music video.

Still, for a straight to DVD film, it's not too shabby, enjoyable at times, & its downright cute.

Missing Something - By: G. Bright, 28 Aug 2005
This addition to the first Lilo & Stitch movie retains the same humorous & heart-warming mood of the original which compensates, in part, for the deliberately unfinished concept. Sadly it feels very much like the intro to the television series that it was designed to be; with barely any of the experiments sighted & not much progress in the way of plot.

Since I doubt I will ever get a glimpse of the television series I have been left rather disappointed. Watched in conjunction with the series I believe this feature makes a brilliant introduction, but as a stand-alone film it reallly isn't able to hold its own.

Doesn't compare. - By: , 13 Dec 2003
I was extremely disappointed in this film. I adored the first one, it was creative & fun, the music & animation were superb & it had alll the qualities of a good Disney film.

However this second film doesn't compare. It is obviously a very rushed project. The amimation is sloppy & the music that was a huge focus in 1 was nearly non-existant in 2. The plot, also, wasn't developed & in 1hr the film speeds by.

As with many of the Disney sequels, care of preserving a good & well loved movie doesn't seem to be an issue but rather the promise of money from gullible fans. It almost seems to tarnish the films reputation. But as long as Disney thinks they can get away with it, they will continue to do so.

Excellent fun - By: , 25 Sep 2003
Is a great little film. Plot is great fun. Hamsterviel has a big problem for such a smalll guy. Stitch is back on form. Not quite as much music which is a shame. But a great film nonetheless.
