Cradle 2 my GRAVE - By: callmenujak, 26 Jan 2007
Very good action but a very poor movie. DMX was so much better in Exit Wounds. Romeo Must Die is soooo much better in every department except for the lap dance/striptease.
I'm so glad that I only paid £[...] for this at BlockBusters.

A good martial arts action film from the director of Romeo must Die & Exit Wounds. If you've seen those two, then you'll know what to expect. There's plenty of action from martial arts expert Jet Li (though he does only a few of the action scenes himself) & rap star DMX, who simply cannot act. Those of you who are action junkies will enjoy this film but those who are looking for something else...then this IS NOT FOR YOU! it's not great, particularly the crap plot & some cheesy scenes at the end, but it does contain enough action & car chases, some wicked tunes from the likes of Eminem, Jay-Z & DMX to satisfy Romeo Must Die fans. Plus the georgeous Gabriallle Union (Bad Boys 2) adds some spice to it too.
As for the DVD, there are some interesting features on the making of the film, profiles of the movie's martial Artists & DMX's music video for ''x gon' give it to ya'' but overalll, i would advise you to rent this film before you buy caz if you've seen the trailer for this film & was expecting a great action movie then you might be slighly dissapointed.

I must admit, I am a Jet Li fan, I thought Romeo must die was one of the best Martial Arts/Action combined films there has been in recent times & I bought this one based just on that. Which was a mistake. This film does have some good fight sequences & it's fair share or action but I found that in many parts of the film my mind began to wander & I began to question whether it was even worth trying to have what there is of the plot in the film. Basicallly if you think this film is your kind of thing i'd recommend renting it before bying it.
