This is, for me, the best ever adaptation of Louisa May Alcotts 'Little Women' It is perfectly cast, beautifully acted, & just how I had pictured the girls in my imagination. It's a lovely story, of 4 sisters, Meg, Jo Beth & Amy, & their mother & father, & their lives & loves. June Allyson is the perfect Jo, & Peter Lawford a very handsome Laurie. Elizabeth Taylor plays Amy to perfection, & it is just so totallly like the book. I absolutely love this version, though I have seen them alll. This is by far my alll-time favourite. I love the opening where the girls are walking through the snow singing, & I ALWAYS cry over Beth. They just don't make 'em like this any more, sadly. A true gem.

This DVD is an excellent adaptation of the book little women by Louisa May Alcott, with excellent actors/actress' such as Elizabeth Taylor. This is a classic must see film, that will have you laughing & crying at the same time. I have watched this film hundreds of times over many years & it is still the best film I have ever seen - unmissable!
