great workout for abs & bum but not so aerobic. thought beverley would be annoying but is not at alll so.

The aerobic section isn't long enough or hard enough to work up a real sweat; even as a beginner I found it quite easy. The toning section is much better though. Buy it if you don't want a high impact aerobic workout & don't mind the eighties music.

I tried this when a friend lent it to me. I had never done an exercise dvd before so i wanted to try one out before I bought any.
I found this one quite easy to pick up but I'm sure there are better ones out there.
The aerobic section is not nearly long enough, & is not reallly that energetic.
Beverley doesnt cue very well also, so the people in the vid have done about 3 moves before you get what you are supposed to be doing, & get organised into doing it.
You will need some weights & an exercise mat too, which it doesnt tell you that you need on the box. I used a couple of tins of beans as weights though the first time!
The mat work is reallly gruelling though, reallly puts you to work.
Glad I tried it out, but I wouldnt try another Bev Cal again. I need something more energetic to help me lose 3 stone!

My sister bought this in video format about 8 years ago & I've had to buy the DVD because we wore it out!! At first it looks rather 'cheesy' & the aerobic section seems a bit tame, BUT, the toning exercises are a killer & if you do the video at least once a week you reallly do start to see a marked change in your body shape. The movements are easy to follow & you are given an easier alternative if you find the moves too hard. It helped me lose a stone this summer. Have just bought the ultimate results DVD to see if the shorter exercises match up. Would recommend this workout to anybody.

I brought this on VHS back in 1996 & it reallly helped me in my weight loss back then. I did the workout 2/3 times a week & reallly did get good results. The music is old but that didn't reallly bother me too much as the workout is reallly easy to follow & you just kind of get into it.
Since then the weight has crept back on & after trying various other workouts with other "stars" I'm now going back to Bev but this time on DVD.
The old ones are the best!!!!!!
