Me & my sister used to watch this film over & over in the 80's. I have just come across this on Amazon & have to order it. The story is good. If I remember rightly, the young boy in it is different as he is in a wheelchair & is quite lonely as he & his family have just moved into a new neighbourhood. He befriends a cute girl & of course Mac the Alien. Mac gets seperated from his family & finds himself with the boy. The part I remember is when the cute girl is attached to a hoover & it goes up the walll. That was funny! There is a element of sadness to this film but isn't depressing at alll.I would recommend this film for the great nostalgia & fun for kids.
Why is it not in region 2 - By: bug, 21 Nov 2007 When i was a child my brothers & sister went to the vhs rental store & only by chance rented mac & me & instantly it became one of our favourite films of the 80's, but why is it that it is only in region 1. This is very annoying as if it made it to region 2 i know loads of people that would by it loved this film & would love to re-live the experience.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN - By: wifey, 28 May 2007 The first time I saw this film I fell in love with MAC & to this day I love him still.The film was taped from the tv & and has now been copied on to a disc.It has been such a long time since I first saw MAC & I now share the pleasure of watching him with my grandchildren.There are many more children & adults who would love to watch MAC AND ME this I know because I have lent the film to loads of people.I would dearly love to own a proper copy on DVD but so far i have only found a copy for viewing in region 1(America).The film itself is will make you laugh & cry.You will want to watch it again & again just as i did.

I have the Dvd verson of Mac & Me but I looking for the tape verson also of Mac & me for just my Vcr ! No concept but a great movie for the whole
family to enjoy ! I reccomand Mac & Me for the kids & kids at heart just
like my father used say ! Denfity Father & daughter prove of Mac & Me movie science fiction ! one to see with the kids & teenagers will enjoy !
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? - By: , 15 Jun 2005 Oh Yes! I've been looking for this film for my whole life! I saw it once or twice when I was little & I've never forgotten it. Thats how good it is! It's right up there with E.T. & Batteries not Included. Now I can die happy.
