And the adventure continues - By: Mr. M. Littledyke, 23 Aug 2006
As the adventure continues sg1 start to have some of the most classic adventures than in any other scfi show in smalll victories we see how they cope with the replicator threat that started in last seasons cliffhanger nemisis also we have a dab at time travel twice 1st in window of oppertunity in which O'neil & Teal'c find themselves repeating the same day over & over & in the classic 2010 in which it is 2010 & earth is at peace with a race of aliens callled the aschen but the treaty does'nt seem to be going as well as it looks in absolute power we continue the story about the harsisus child in which Daniel gets to look at life in a completely different way the episode tangent about an experiment with a new fighter craft that goes awry & exodus in which we start another cliffhanger in which we will see Apothis (Peter Williams)return to cause havoc for sg1 & the torkra yet again.

All in alll yet another great season boxset & a must have!

Love it, fantastic, lots of good stuff! - By: , 10 Mar 2006
Love this DVD box set. I once thought box set like these won't be sold cheaply, guess I was wrong when I came to Amazon.co.uk. The price comparison is very significant. At WHSmiths or Woolworths in Pontypridd, a box set like this cost around £50-£60. While down at Amazon it costs about £20. I find that a good bargain.

Only one episode I remember which I'm not very please of is that the writers decided to have Share, wife of goody Daniel Jackson, killed by staff weapon again. This time it was Teal'c who pulled the trigger. I believe Teal'c is not that stupid enough to waste so many precious seconds just to prime his staff, standing there doing nothing for a few more seconds & then killed her. Teal'c did this to save Daniel. The episode is Forever in the Day.
If you watched that scene where Daniel is fighting with Share's symbiote inside the tent, you would have seen Teal'c has enough time to both save Daniel & Share; rushing into the tent & beating down Share, giving her some ugly facial surgery. I think this is one of the reasons why the makers of this show decided to have Share killed. I guess showing scenes of women being beaten would offend some sensitive people.

Brill! - By: , 14 Feb 2006
I don't reallly like alll that sci-fi stuff but Stargate is the exception. It has got to be the best programme ever. I only started watching at the beginning of Season 9 & loved it. I have alll of the DVDs that are out & I can't wait for Season 8. Season 4 has got to be the best stargate season ever as it has a mixture of Goa'uld & replicators so its not only about one main threat.
Best yet! - By: , 19 May 2005
In my opinion this is the best Stargate SG1 series made. Starting with the conclusion to 'Nemesis' tackling the Replicators alongside the Asgard & ending with encountering the mechanical bugs again, dealing with the Tok'Ra, Goa'uld technology, supposed alies & the Harseces child in between. A huge variety of storylines & some of the best one liners from Jack O'Neill, with the inclusion of some great extras & behind the scenes footage. My personal favourites in the series are Smalll Victories, Upgrades, Window of Opportunity - bet you thought you'd never see Teal'c golfing through the Stargate! - 2010 & Prodigy. Well worth the money as ever with the Stargate SG1 team.
Stargate Is The Best! - By: My name is a secret, 26 Mar 2005
I am a massive Stargate fan(although i am not into any other sci-fi) & am aiming to have alll the Stargate season boxsets. So far I have seasons 1,3,4 & 7 but I think the 4th is deffinitely the best by far.
In the 4th season there are some great episodes like the hilarious, & in my opinion one of the best episodes ever,Window of Oppurtunity, 2010 & the season cliff-hanger finale, Exodus which is also Michael Shanks's directing debut. Chemistry between O'Neil & Carter reallly begins to show & this is the first box-set to include special features like previews & cast diaries & i don't usuallly bother with things like that but these extra features are actuallly pretty good.
So for any Stargate fans, you have to get this season boxset. Also, the price is so great, its worth getting even if you you only want to see a few of the episodes. A great buy.
