Could be better - By: F. Chadwick, 28 Aug 2008
I have just completed this dvd, for the first time, & feel a little disappointed. I was expecting it to be a bit more energetic. I am reasonably fit & could manage alll the exercises, however I found that some of them weren't demonstrated or explained very well, & some put a lot of strain on your back. I don't feel that I have worked out as much as I would have liked, & the instructor was awful. He couldn't count & was out of sync with the music. Kate Lawler looks great, but she clearly didn't get that body from doing this dvd. Perhaps she has been secretly doing Davina's!!!
On the shelf gathering dust! - By: G. Hand, 18 Jun 2008
I bought this DVD a few months ago based on the positive reviews on here & because I enjoyed the boxing sections on Davina's DVD's so much but this DVD is rather dull. It doesn't reallly get your heart rate up & after completing it you don't particularly feel like you have worked very hard (and it's not that I am super fit & therefore find it too easy). I can't imagine it burns that many calories.

Rhydian is a bit monotone & he gets his counting wrong quite frequently which is annoying but if he doesn't motivate you then the close up shots of Kate's super toned tummy will.

I have worked out to it 3 or 4 times & both my flatmate & I agree that it's not very motivational or energetic & doesnt work you very hard. However, I will say that the abs section at the end is quite demanding & does work your tummy quite hard.

On a positive note, I think this DVD might be a good introduction to exercise if you are a complete beginner.

Not a patch on Davina or Natalie Cassidy's DVD's so don't waste your money.
Could try harder - By: E. Dare, 17 May 2008
I'm fairly fit & was told this one was a killer. However, i felt let down. My back hurts a bit & my arms got a good workout, but i didnt reallly work up much of a sweat from the Cardio section.
Instructer was fairly mono-tonned & unencouraging too.
I found Natalie Cassidy's 'Now & then' work out more of a killer, & if you are looking for something that will get you out of breath & work up a sweat then that is the place to go, although its not that fantastic for arms & abs & sometimes i may go over sections to reallly tire me out.
I've worn the video out! - By: Ex-Couch Potato, 13 May 2008
I have always been very fit & active as a national swimmer & then an avid 5 times a week gym goer, but for some reason since quitting the swimming my gym workouts, regardless of the recommendations from trainers, could not tone my "problem" areas i.e hips, bum & inner thighs.

I decided after leaving uni & starting work to try fitness video's as I did not have regular time slots to go to the gym .

I'll start with the drawbacks some people might find: 1) this may not be the ideal choice for people wanting to build up HUGE amounts of stamina in their fitness. However, I found personallly that the interval training & high energy jumps & kicks helps dramaticallly with my fitness & I could work towards getting through the video for start to finish without hurting at every jump. My heart rate is raised & I feel fitter & more positive each time.

2) Rhydian isn't the most dynamic fitness "motivator" on screen. I stuck with it though & ached everywhere I wanted to ache the day after. The results spoke for themselves & I now rarely ache unless I have given myself a few weeks break (i.e Christmas!).

My body has never been so toned around my core area, love handles & inner thighs. I feel that this DVD is solely responsible for the toned results on me. However, if you do want to improve long distance stamina you may want to combine it with another. I now use the Nell McAndrew Peak Energy for 40mins of (basicallly) running on the spot & the Hotpants Workout for a variety.

All in alll this DVD is worthy of a 5/5 rating for my needs which I hope I have explained above & might help you decide if it is right for you - I will never return to gym workouts again & have never felt as confident in a bikini!
Great workout - By: Mrs. S. Reynolds, 02 Apr 2008
I have nearly every exercise DVD that's come out over the last 5 years & this is one of my favourites. Some of the DVD's i've bought i have used once & sold them on e-Bay the next day; others i've kept but never seem to use, however, this one seems to get used the most along with Davina's 30 mins workouts & Vicky Enetwistle' DVD. I could be a bit bias though as i hate any workouts that involve dancing. I seem to prefer cardio combat & toning exercises; that are on this DVD. I can see why after alll these years it is still popular & costs nearly the same second hand as it does new.
