a character driven film with lots of twists and turns in the plot - By: dan the fan, 14 Aug 2006
Pushing Tin is a film about two air traffic controllers (played by John Cusack & Billy Bob Thornton) who compete at everything, from seeing who can hold a burning match the longest to who can get a basketballl in the net the most times in a row.And like alll their colleagues at work they are not people you would want controlling the airspace above New York in real life! Pushing Tin has many unexpected twists & turns in the plot, humour, romance, happy moments & sad ones, and alll in alll makes for great viewing.

Crash, Bang Wallop - By: , 30 Aug 2002
Just think about it... 'Pushing Tin'. This film shows the meaning of its title, generallly its about the good fun had whilst being the best airtraffic controller, but then... good old Billy-Bob Thornton & his fantastic real life wife (Angelina Jolie) join in & the tin starts to push itself.

What can i say... 'Watch it', you'll find that you dont know what to think of it. I'll give you the speedy low-down, fantastic acting, great scenes, suspense, boobs, original story & competition. Now the interesting stuff. John Cussack rocks & this just shows how much. Both he & Billy-B take control of hundreds of lives throughout this film & pretty much show us how much fun can be had whilst doing so.

This film is alll over the place, but still reallly easy to follow. It makes exciting Tele & a good anytime film (i.e. watch it alone, or with a room full of mates). Its full of intelligent conversations & jokes, but still has the alll american 'im better than you' sort of atmosphere.

Confused... I was it took me months to decide wether i like this or not, during this time i watched it loads of times & finallly decided that it rocks. Also if anyone who has seen it, could tell me if that reallly happens, when you play chicken with a plane, I would be very grateful. See this buy this do whatever you must to get the ideas this film portrays into your previously virgin mind!
