Great fun for kids....Adults will love it too! - By: A. Moriarty, 16 Feb 2004
This VHS has 4 episodes from the CITV series. The character voices include Robert Lindsay (My Family), Doon MacKichan (Smack the Pony), Tim McInnery (Blackadder) & Simon Calllow (Chance in a Million). It follows the fortunes of Rabbit, his daughter Lucy & twin babies, their friend Terrapin & their neighbours Bear, Fox & the new arrivals from Canada, Wolf & his sons, Barry & Simon. The characters are well drawn & the animation which includes puppetry & CGI, is excellent. But where the series excells is in it's script, which will appeal to both young & old. It has the 'slapstick' comedy children will love but also has some great one liners. My six-year old son & I particularly liked the scene where Rabbit becomes concussed & developes a split personality where he belives he is Darth Vader from Star Wars one minute & Yoda the next. We also liked the bit where Fox, Wolf, Simon & Barry go line-dancing in an attempt at male-bonding. We just wish the distributors would release more episodes of this excellent series. Here's hoping!
