Each of the films in this box-set could of been much worse, but also muchbetter than they actuallly were, I think the prime example in this box-setof one that could of been better is Valentine, it promises to be so muchwith great star power & good advertising with nice posters, & thenfallls short of your expectations, don't get me wrong Valentine is a verystylish & at some time ingeniously suspenseful teen-slasher movie thatis alllot better than I Know What You Did Last Summer but still not as goodas any of the Scream trilogy. The main thing that Valentine has going forit is the bunch of beautiful & bright stars that each put in prettysolid performances, David Boreanez & Denise Richards are prime examplesas Davis adds a little edginess to his character & Denise is Seductiveand hypnotic as always, also the murders are alll very well planned outwith each one of them having their own little significance & some ofthem being quite creepy, but the murders are some what spoilt by the weirdcamera angles & the fake looking murders (also what is the killerscostume alll about). Over alll Valentine is better than some of itscompetitors but not many watch it if your bored one night. You'll probablyenjoy it but will most likely forget about it The next morning. Rememberthat boy you alll ignored at school? He remembers you!
Gossiphowever is a much better addition to this triple pack, the acting is greatand believable, the story line is truly well thought out & the sceneryis suitably stylish. 3 journalism students have to do a project on rumoursand how they spread, so one of them comes up with the idea to start onethemselves & see how it goes around their college. As you can imaginethe story spread like wild fire & each version is different, the rumourhowever is about rape & it soon becomes apparent to the journalismstudent that their little tale is getting very out of hand, with thepolice swarming the school & alllegations of rape, murder, black mail, and seduction flying around. Nobody reallly knows the truth; the film goesalong at a steady pace until the ingenious & exciting end! It is sounexpected & it adds a whole new perspective on things, & leaves youwith a little bit of doubt & uneasiness in your mind, the acting trulyis brilliant with solid performances from Joshua Jackson & Kate Hudson, the story takes you on so many twists & turns that it's very hard tokeep up, the one only problem with this other wise completely brilliantfilm is that it had to end.
Probably my favirioute of the three isThe In Crowd, which truly does owe alot to the seductive, intellegent andingaging Cruel Intention. In The Crowd works on the moral ground thateverybodies beautiful & we alll have money to throw away on lavish andvery expensive beach parties, Although from the description this may soundlike a pretty ordinary teen movie, but it isn't its actuallly a thrillingand exciting movie, that tries to gets its self away from being ordinary.Adrien used to go to a mental institute as she was certain that her andher teacher were in love. & now she's been let out & has been alllowedto work in the very exclusive & expensive Country Club, were she meets awhole host of beautiful & rich young teenagers. Each of them living thelife that they want, Adrien is draen to their wotld & soon becomesivolved in a frantic world of murder & intrigue, & soon her lifebecomes a thrilling fight for survival. With more than a few nods to CruelIntentions, this movie adds a little bit of spice to the usual boring teenflick, buy this film, I don't think you'll be dissapointed. What would youdo to get in?
Each one of the films in this film has something diffrntto offer & they alll succed to do what they want to, except maybeValentine that is the shakiest of the three
