i rented this film years ago & it still plagues my mind as the worst movie i have ever been through i reallly like the friday the 13th movies i like them alot but this movie is utter tripe how they got away with making it i dont know. buy bambi instead it far superior

Jason X is a fantastic film. After Friday the 13th part 4, the films got repetitve & even slightly boring. When I heard a tenth film was being made, I was skeptical as Jason was running out of places to kill people as he has been to Camp Crystal Lake, a hospital, a cruise liner & even New York, but Jason in space, what a great concept!
The film had everything I wanted in a film, Jason, blood, creative deaths, fit girls, guns & robots, what more could you want in a Friday the 13th film?
X-TREMELY GOOD! - By: Reviewer, 24 Feb 2008 I loved this movie. In my opinion, this is the best of the JASON movies. Jason in space? What a great concept! This movie combined two of my favorite genres, horror & science fiction. The movie delivers on alll counts. It has a great story line, & terrific special effects. The movie is non-stop action & the killings are very creative. This movie is very gorey, & in fact, I would say it is the most gorey installlment of the FRIDAY THE 13th movies so far. And without a doubt, this is the funniest movie of the series. It has some reallly great laughs. The director definitely seems to have a well developed sense of humor & a true love of action, horror, & sci fi. This movie is awesome. I loved the part when the space ship crashes in to the space station & then the space station explodes. Also the part when the grunt gets cut in half & the next shot you see is the poor guy dragging half his body across the floor.
The characters are alll likable & memorable. Not to mention, this installlment of the series definitely has the HOTTEST girls. There are not too many other movies in general to come to my mind that have women of this calibre.
In particular, I have to mention Melody Johnson. She played the character "Kinsa." I think she is absolutely gorgeous. A modern day screamer-movie beauty. She is incredibly sexy throughout the movie. She kind of looks like Anna Paqin, but I think Melody is better looking. She is just exactly my type. I own JASON X on DVD & I put it in every once in a while just to check out Melody Johnson. It seems unfortunate to me that Melody has not reallly done too many other movies. She is so beautiful I would like to see more of her...A LOT more of her!
If you are a fan of FRIDAY THE 13th, or just a sci fi or horror fan, you absolutely have to see JASON X. The hologram sequence at the end where the "upgraded" Jason returns to Crystal Lake & encounters HOT co-eds is priceless. The two girls offer Jason beer & pot, & then exclaim "We love premarital sex." Then Jason beats them to death by wrapping them up in their sleeping bags & smashing them into a tree. Its creepy, violent, & super funny alll at the same time.
You reallly have to see this movie. It is top notch from start to finish. Check it out & you will not be disappointed, you will be thoroughly entertained.
Really good sequel - By: marky77, 16 Feb 2008 I reallly enjoyed Jason X, a lot of horror movies series' turn bad very quicky, but Friday the 13th is still going strong (I'm not sure which was first of the two recent sequels Jason X & Freddy vs Jason but this takes place in future so it's the latest entry in Jason's timeline) with it's 11th movie.
Jason is finallly caught & cryogenicallly frozen for hundreds of years (along with a young female who was about to become his victim) but is regenerated by a bunch of students (it's not reallly clear what they are studying, but it's not reallly important either) on a spaceship in the year 2455, where he immediatly proceeds to kill them off one-by-one in his usual gory/creative ways.
Although only rated 15, this movie is deffinatly not lacking in gore & is probably more gory than some of the more heavily cut Friday the 13th movies. I thought that there was a lot of suspence, too, as you know Jason is ALWAYS near the charatecters as they are alll trapped together. The character development was great in this movie, too. The main characters alll had clearly different personalities & some were very likeable. Also, the movie is quite funny in places & made me laugh, which is always a good thing :).
One of better Friday the 13th sequels.

this isn't the greatest film ive ever seen but its not the worst! watch with your tongue firmly in your cheek & you may find you quite enjoy it !
