FROM A TRUE FRIENDS FAN - By: M. Clark, 19 Feb 2004
I was very pleased with this series when I watched this on TV that I just had to buy it! It's great & contains some of the best ever Friends episodes. The Friends return for a series much better than the linear Series 7 to entertain you alll!

TOP 8 of Series 8!
1. The One in Massapequa - Classic humour- the best this series.
2. The One With the Videotape - Again a classic Friends episode. Hilarious!
3. The One With The Rumour - Guest starring Brad Pitt. The humour is hilarious in this episode.
4. The One With The Birthing Video - The part where Ross says to Mona "Happy Valentines Day!!!!" Had me in stitches!
5. The One With The Stripper - Funny alll the way through.
6. The One With The Baby Shower - Again, hilarious!
7. The One With The Cooking Class - The bit with Joey & monica at the very end is classic!
8. The One Where Chandler Takes a Bath - Great humour. Chandler is reallly funny in this episode.
(and the One Where Rachel Has a Baby - great humour & ending, but too long...)

You'll find some truly classic episodes of Friends here! :)

gets better and better - By: , 14 Feb 2004
as a true friends fan, series 8 just adds to the life that we have alll known & loved, sure we may here some of the same jokes but they still have me doubled over.
it wont be long now until this truly entertaining & era based series comes to a end & i for one will shed a big tear or two.
i cannot say which episode is the best because they alll live up to the standard that we have come to expect, if you have never watched episode start now, i left it until almost series 4, but now im the proud owner of the complete series 1-9 ( 10 on the way ) you will love it!!!
FRIENDS ROCKS!!! :--- But... - By: , 06 Jan 2004
I am a huge friends fan & have almost every episode on video or DVD. I have been, however, disappointed with the latest seasons, & feel that the show is becoming increasingly crude & dull. Series 8 was good, but some of the actors are not as good as in the early seasons, some of the storylines fail to begin until near the end, & many of the jokes do not have a punchline worthy of seasons 1-3. The One with Joey's interview is the flashback episode of the season, but is poorly constructed & ends on a very poor joke.

Highlights-Monica & Chandler's Honeymoon, the Hallloween party, Joey's infamous long term crush on Rachel, & the fantastic cliffhanger finale that left so many of us in tears.

The One with Joey's interview is the flashback episode of the season, but is poorly constructed & ends on a very poor joke.

With the acting & the jokes getting worn, this series does produce some good episodes, with episodes that you can watch again & again, including:
The One after I Do
The One with the Red Sweater
The One with the Videotape
The One with the Stripper
The One where Rachel has a baby

Despite the flaws I have mentioned, the first & last episodes make this well worth buying.

Fantastic! Top quality entertainment that I watch again & again. Not so many special features, however there are hours & hours of episodes.
****Could...I...Be...Wearin' Any More Clothes!?**** - By: S. J. Smith, 09 Sep 2003
For over eight seasons now Friends has consistantly hit the mark in the humour stakes. It's never failed to strike a chord with it's audience, never revelled in it's own hype, never gone through the motions or suffered from old-age-gag-redo syndrome. Nothing but fresh. Fresh jokes, fresh scenarios, fresh delivery, each & every episode. To be commended.

Well, you'd think so wouldn't you?

In actual fact though, the 'EMMY' awards (America's TV Oscars) have passed 'Friends' by year in & year out up until now. And for what reason? Some would argue that 'Frasier' deserved the award that it claimed each year as the cast of Friends looked on with brave, plastic smiles. Some would argue that now the competition is less apparent, i.e Frasier doesn't air any more so who's left to stand in the way?

However, one award in eight seasons...some would argue that Friends has been hard done to. Okay, it may not have the same subtle touches of Frasier but it always hit the target. It's cast may be picture perfect examples of modern, unobtainable beauty, but their constantly neurotic character execution keeps them human, keeps them familiar & keeps them funny.

This season is no different from any other. The standard is still high, the acting still priceless & the stories still appealing. It's got everything. If you're already a fan then you need no encouragement...in fact, why are you even reading this!? However, if you're new to the whole Friends deal...I suggest you start at Episode One/Season One & falll in love with Friends like the rest of us.

For the established fan base...I heard recently from buddies in North America that there are plans for a 'Joey' spin-off show after season ten! Yay!!!
