FAB FRIENDS - By: , 28 Mar 2005
Don't listen to anyone else, this DVD is just as fab as the others. I love Friends & i'm very sad that there will be no more but this dvd reminds us how funny it is. The one where Rachel has her baby is great & she even looks a bit sweaty (not like Phoebe when she had the triplets!)and Bamboozle is hilarous. Sit back in your barkerlounger & enjoy!!
Friends - Series 8 - Episodes 17-20 - By: G. Bowley, 27 Jun 2004
episode 17 The One With The Tea Leaves---Joey has been hiding from Rachel, so she invents a problem at work ("My boss wants to buy my baby!") to draw him into conversation. Phoebe's tea leaves tell her that she's going to meet the man of her dreams, except that the man she meets is a nightmare. Later on though, she does meet a nice guy. Ross tries to retrieve his favorite shirt from Mona's, interrupted when she returns home with a date.

episode 18 The One In Massapequa ------Everybody prepares to go out to Long Island for the elder Gellers' 35th wedding anniversary party. Monica wants to write a toast to make everybody cry like Ross's toasts do. Ross & Rachel discover that his parents have told people they're married. Ross describes how he would propose to Rachel, & she seems intrigued. Phoebe invites her new boyfriend, Parker, who is extremely enthusiastic.

episode 19 The One With Joey's Interview-----Joey prepares for an interview with Soap Opera Digest, although he's afraid of appearing stupid, so he enlists his friends to make sure things go well. During the interview, he reminisces about his past acting experiences, what he does in his spare time, eating & exercising right, his friends, his homosexual tendencies, & his romantic life.

episode 20 The One With The Baby Shower-----Rachel panics during her baby shower when she realizes how totallly unprepared she is to care for an infant, & reluctantly goes along with her icy mother Sandra's plans to move in & help out-which hardly makes roommate Ross jump for joy. Meanwhile, as Monica tries to atone for forgetting to invite Sandra, an exhausted Chandler & Ross help Joey prepare for his audition as a new game show host by playing the befuddling game over & over.

full of laughs galore speciallly when playing bambozzle!

Time to retire gracefully - By: , 14 Nov 2002
I used to love this show. Its blend of comfortable & comforting relationships & great timing from a little known cast was not ground breaking but was throughly polished & enjoyable. These days the formula is tired, the script weak & the cast self-absorbed & flat.

Now I wish someone would just put this baby out to grass before we forget how good it used to be. Not that there's much chance of that, as Friends will be repeated more than MASH.

The Best DVD from Season 8 - By: Anthony Holten, 27 Sep 2002
A reallly good DVD. The first two episodes, "TOW Monica's Cooking Class" & "TOW Rachel is Late" aren't very good. They are both silly episodes with good plots that are badly realised & go nowhere. However "TOW Rachel Has A Baby" is excellent. On Side B of the Disc, which has extra footage, the episode is a full 50 mins long. And on Side A it is presented in 2 parts, as originallly broadcast. Should be titled Episodes 21 - 24 but that's nitpicking.
Still our Friends - By: K. Harrnacker, 28 Jul 2002
It was difficult to see how Friends could continue, now the twenty-somethings have become thirty-somethings. After alll, they couldn't go on with their will-they won't-they storylines & the actors are alll busy with their Hollywood careers.

Well, Rachel & Ross are still in that phase, but the storylines of Rachel's pregnancy & Monica & Chandler's relationships have shifted it along into another, rather different stage. They're still as funny as ever & I'll definitely keep watching! Great to see another series is coming out, let's hope the fun continues!
