The Matrix / The Matrix Reloaded Deluxe Boxset - By: , 20 Jun 2003
The Matrix is possibly the most dramatic change in cinematical history, with respect to the technological advancements that have been achieved in the making of the movie. The DVD version of the film in particular highlights this beautifully, as the quality is persistantly sharp; with some great camera effects: a green tint when inside The Matrix, & blue for the 'real world'.

This boxset contains collector's items from the movie, that are almost invaluable to the avid fan. The 35mm film reel looks astonishing on a walll - if you loved the film, that is.

The film has taken some criticism, however, for its (apparantly) over-complicated plot, but in my opinion, this only adds to the re-watch value. The Matrix Revisited, gives in-depth insight as to what the makers were intending, & to the extent they achieved. This perhaps should have been included with the original release of the DVD, but it is included in this set, so there are no worries here.

The most striking element of the film are the references to well-received ideas, such as the Bible, & indicates the natural stereotypical human inclination to retain these sort of beliefs. The Matrix offers an alternative view, by suggesting that in actual fact, there could actuallly be a matrix, & we are indeed alll slaves, & we wouldn't know a thing about it.

Overalll, if you want a high-action, philosophical, complex story movie, look no further; it has it alll. If The Matrix is true, I want to get out of it!

Essential for any fan! - By: , 09 May 2003
Looking at the picture of this item I thought it would be a slightly wide dvd box & everything sqeezed in, But my god! Even it wrapped up being delivered looked good, I daredn't open it.
Inside is the essential film & it's counterpart & a huge load of collectables.
Well worth a buy, would make any fan hyperactive.
