Continuing anarchy - By: T. R. Alexander, 25 Apr 2007
Volume two of the Excel Saga continues in the same vane as the previous volume following the insane antics of the ideological organisation ACROSS as it attempts to conquer the planet beginning with the city of F. This volume contains four episodes & sees the introduction of a new government agency trying to protect the city, a young girl trained as an assassin & a rival ideological movement who are attempting to bring bowling to the masses. All the episodes are hilarious & the Excel Saga continues its mad brilliance.
You want weird? YOU GOT WEIRD!! - By: , 19 Aug 2003
HAIL ILPALATZZO!! If you've got the first DVD you know what to expect here, more strange behaviour, more wacky plot turns, more Hyatt dying & some freaky renditions of popular movies

Excell Saga is most definatly the "Airplane" of the anime world

Hail Ilpalazzo! - By: Ecchi_Garr, 15 Aug 2003
The manic, over-stimulated Excel & her fellow agent, the deathly hyatt (hatchan) are back trying to take over the city of F for the glory of across & Lord Ilpalazzo.

The wiredness continues as the pair take on various missions assigned to them by the greatest idiological would be tyrant the world of Anime has ever known, Ilpalazzo, whilst also trying to earn enough money fend off hungar by taking up various part time jobs.

Of course Hyatt & Excel are as good at earning a sustainable income as they are at being secret agents & soon enough Menchi's future (menchi = their dog/ emergence food suply)is looking particuallly bleak.

But the dunamic pair struggle onward, fighting off hunger, vomiting blood & dieing quite a few times as well, they climb mountains, work in bowling alllys & stomp cute Alien Puchu according to Ilpalazzo's wishes.

In conclusion Excel Saga Vol 2 is an excellent continuation of the story of Excel & her efforts to conquer the city for her love Ilpalazzo (not that Ilpalazzo knows anything about how she adores him).
The only problem is that there is one less episode on this DVD than the last one, 4 rather than 5, but don't let this put you off, Excel Saga is great & my only irritation with it is that i spent a long time importing the R1 DVDs for it to come out the very same day i got the sixth & final DVD... Grrrr
