I recalll this series on TV some years ago. The whole collection of characters hold you & even the change in actors for a few characters in the second series does not detract from the quality, although I had falllen in love with the first series cast. Thankfully they did not replace Olympia Dukakis who I think is amazining & brought a sensual compassionate quality to a challlenging role. For me its worth watching again for her alone. I watch out for her ever since & am never disapointed with her performance.
Well done to the writer who has a Hitchcock cameo in one lovely california scene will you spot him?

A brilliant series which touches one's humanity in every way possible.
The series was never available in South African & I finallly decided to purchase it - one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Brilliant Performances by alll the actors!
A story that touches your soul, remove the ignorance & make one realise that life is about respect & love.
A series that changed me forever!
