This is one of the best Samurai films to come out of Japan-EVER!!
Tatsuya Nakadai (Yojimbo, Ran, Kagemusha) is superbly chilling as the nihilistic assassin
and Toshiro Mifune (Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, etc) is on excellent form as usual as the Samurai master
who stands in his way. The story takes snakes & twists & on the way involves political intrigue,
assassination, romance & drama with some of the best swordplay ever.
A must!
