Brilliant movie - well worth viewing... - By: K. I. Quintyne, 23 Jul 2006
Julia Roberts gets second billing for this movie, as it was still early in her career - but even from this vantage point in her career, you could tell that she was destined for great things... & even the quib in the movie about her getting an Academy Award was stroke of brilliance.

This is a great movie with wonderful chemistry between the two leads - Nick Nolte & Julia Roberts!!! It tells a simple tale of two competing journalists who end up working together for the greater good. It smells of old movies gone by, with the same raw energy between the leads as compared with Tracy-Hepburn & Taylor-Burton.

It relies on the actors' talents & a great tapestry of a story - & alll interact well, & lead to a great conclusion - which will keep alll involved truly enthrallled.

Defo worth repeated viewings!!!
I love this movie - By: Uenna, 11 Apr 2006
This movie is a classic; it is funny, romantic & a gem. I am big fan of Julia Roberts & in this movie she excels as a no nonsense investigative journalist, holding her own against the award winning reporter played by Nick Nolte's Character. When they decided to collaborate their efforts in solving the mystery of a derailed train accident, playing pranks on each other became the order of the day & her character showed that even a 'green inexperienced reporter' (as Nick Nolte's character described her) can hold her own in a world of 'dog- eat- dog' investigative journalism. You will love the banter between the characters & the sparks that fly off them. A great romantic comedy. I highly recommend.
A romantic starring Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts.. - By: Helen (hm@hotmail.com), 21 Feb 2000
Roberts plays Sabrina, a club-reporter whose resourcefulness & quick wit are matched only by her competitive spirit, which spells trouble for her seasoned columnist-turned-novalist Peter (Nolte). Sparks fly as they outwit & outscoop each other, & nearly get themselves killed scrambling for the ultimate front page story. Along the way they meet an amazing array of baddies, unintentionallly get married and, surprise surprise falll in love. Although extremely predictable, the film does have a few nail-biting sequences & a couple of momnets guaranteed to make you jump out of your seat. All in alll a highly entertaining film.
